~ Intelligent Battery Operated Picture Lights & Power Supply ~
At Charter Lighting we always look for ways to improve our products and services. Nothing used to hit our ‘Inbox’ more often than the difficulty of lighting paintings where there is no readily available power. Our response has been to develop a robust and sophisticated battery package.
Now you can power your picture lights effortlessly and without the disruption associated with mains wiring and you have the freedom to position your artwork wherever you want it!
The Intelligent Battery Power Supply comes in two parts - the Brain Box and the Battery Pack. These are discreetly positioned behind the painting and should be mounted onto the same surface as the picture light itself, be that on the wall or the frame of the painting.
Paintings that are as large as 1M x 1M can now be well illuminated without any mains power being available nearby at all.
The battery pack is designed so it can easily be detached from the frame or wall for when it needs re-charging. Alternatively, the system is configured to enable ‘on board’ charging. The charging socket is located adjacent to the separate switch port which can be attached for ease of access onto e.g. the bottom corner of the picture frame, so the batteries can be charged in situ using a remote charging unit.
When the battery power runs low, the light will run more dimly for a while before automatically extinguishing. Following a full re-charge, the system will power a picture light for between 25 to 35 hours. We are currently working on ways of improving the operational life but, in the meantime, a second back-up battery pack system can be purchased with the original unit so that there will be no ‘down time’ during charging periods.
